After 20 plus years managing non-profit organizations in the US and Internationally, Dawn wanted a career change and wanted to start her own business. Her mobile groomer suggested she consider starting her own mobile grooming business. As a dog lover and owner her entire life, Dawn researched the career. She enrolled in Canine Clippers School of Pet Grooming in Dumfries, Virginia in the fall of 2006 and graduated with honors. In January 2007 she started Pampered Pets Curbside Grooming Salon and Spa, LLC.
Dawn has a Cairn terrier, Honey Bun, and a Cairn terrier mix, Winslow, whose likenesses she incorporated into her logo design. She added a new member to her "team" in June 2008, Trevor, a Morkie (Maltese/Yorkshire Terrier mix). Clients will have an opportunity to meet Trevor as he travels with Dawn on most days.

Dawn makes pet bandanas, groomer aprons, tote bags and pet themed jewelry for groomers and pet lovers. She will begin selling at grooming shows in the spring of 2009.
Dawn is married to Mike and has a son, Sean who recently graduated from West Virginia University. Dawn has a B.A. in Applied Behavioral Science from National Lewis University.
When not grooming or making accessories, Dawn enjoys making beaded jewelry, yoga and book club. Most of all she loves to curl up with Honey Bun, Winslow and Trevor on the sofa and watch tv or read.
